Who we are
Daily AI is a goal-tracking app (Android app and website) made by an independent developer. Questions about this policy or your data: support@dailygoal.ai.
The rules for using the app are in our terms of service.
What we store
- Your account: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture link and a Google account ID. We use them to identify your account and to show your name and email in Settings. We never see your Google password.
- What you enter: your goals (name, what success looks like, icon, reminder time, schedule, active or archived), your daily check-ins (date, 👍 or 👎, and the reason or note you add to a miss) and your app settings.
- Plan with AI: if you use the AI coach, we store your chats with it (your messages and its replies), the plans and goals it helps you make, any measurements you enter there (for example your weight), and how much you used the AI each day (number of requests and their cost, used for fair-use limits). Unless you turn it off, the coach also keeps short notes about you (for example "prefers mornings") to use in later chats; you can see and delete them in Settings → What the coach remembers. If you report one of the AI's replies, we store the report and its reason with that reply.
- Feedback: if you send feedback from Settings, we keep your message and rating, with the app version and your phone's system. When you're signed in, your email comes with it so we can reply. It's emailed to us through our email provider, Resend.
- Crash reports: if the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a technical report (error details, app version, phone model and operating system) so we can fix the problem. These reports don't include your name, email or goals.
- On our website: the website keeps your cookie choice on your device. If you accept cookies, it also uses PostHog (servers in the EU) to see which pages are visited, for how long, which buttons are clicked and how fast pages load, with your approximate location and device type. It doesn't use your name or email, and we never use it for ads. If you decline, nothing is stored or sent. Change your choice any time: .
- Usage data: which screens you open, when you open and leave the app (so we can see how long a visit lasts), and which actions you take, such as creating a goal, checking in with 👍 or 👎, or changing a schedule. Each event says only what kind of action it was and simple facts about it (for example "3 days a week" or "has an end date"), never the names of your goals, your reasons, your notes or your email. It is linked to your account by an anonymous ID, and comes with your device type, operating system, app version, language and approximate location (country or city, worked out from your internet address).
You can turn usage data off at any time: Settings → Share usage data. Daily AI has no ads and no advertising IDs, and doesn't record your screen.
Why we store it
- To run the app: show your goals, calculate your score, and keep your phone and the website in step.
- To back up your data, so it's safe if you change or lose your phone.
- To run the AI coach, keep its use within fair limits, and review replies people report.
- To find and fix crashes.
- To understand how the app is used (for example, which screens are useful and where people get stuck) so we can improve it.
We rely on your agreement to these terms when you create an account, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working. We don't use your data for anything else.
Where it's kept
- On your device: the app keeps a copy of your goals and check-ins on your phone (or in your browser), so it works without internet.
- Supabase (database and sign-in), on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
- Anthropic (the AI behind Plan with AI), in the United States. When you use the AI coach, it receives your chat messages and what the coach needs to answer them: the plan, its goals and check-ins, your measurements and the notes the coach keeps about you. It doesn't receive your name or email. Under its terms for businesses, Anthropic doesn't use this data to train its AI and keeps it only for a limited time. Transfers to the United States are protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Resend (emails your feedback to us), in the United States. It receives only the feedback you send.
- Sentry (crash reports), on servers in Germany (EU).
- PostHog (usage data and error reports in the app and, if you accept cookies, on our website), on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
- Vercel hosts this website. It delivers the pages; it doesn't receive your goals.
- Google handles signing in with your Google account, under Google's own privacy policy.
These companies process data only on our behalf, to provide their service. All data travels encrypted (HTTPS), and the database only lets each signed-in person read and change their own goals and check-ins.
Reminders are created on your phone by the app itself. They aren't sent through any server.
Sharing
We don't sell, rent or share your personal data with anyone, except the service providers listed above, or if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
- We keep your data while you have an account.
- Delete your account: in the app, open Goals → Settings → Delete account. Your account and all your goals, check-ins, settings, AI chats and AI notes are deleted from our database right away, and from that device. Copies may remain in our providers' routine backups for a short time until they're overwritten.
- AI notes: delete one or all of them, or stop the coach from keeping them, in Settings → What the coach remembers.
- Signing out removes the copy on that device. Your account keeps your data.
- Crash reports are deleted automatically after a limited period (at most 90 days).
- Usage data is deleted automatically after one year. Deleting your account doesn't remove it right away, because it can't be traced to you without your account; email us and we'll delete it sooner.
- Can't open the app? Use our account deletion page.
Your rights
You can see and change all your data in the app. You can download it as a file (Settings → Export data), and delete it as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights over your personal data, including the right to complain to your data-protection authority. To use any of them, email us.
Children
Daily AI isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is important, we'll also tell you in the app.
